Baby Update: 38 & 39 weeks!

Well I made it to 39 weeks! I must say the third pregnancy is rather hard on my body not sure if it is cause of my age or just having to run around with two other kids. I have been told I am looking pretty tired which I have noticed in my eyes as well. People say oh you need to enjoy pregnancy cause it is harder after the baby is born. To me it depends on what your definition of hard is. I can manage the lack of sleep cause I will nap whenever I can and not force myself to be super woman. This last month of pregnancy has been way harder than having a newborn would be because Hunter is too small for to get down at his level all the time. I can't even sit on the floor without being in pain therefore it is hard to sit and play with him. I get winded so easily that just going up 6 stairs I have to catch my breath at the top. I go to sit down after doing whatever task and all of a sudden the kids want me to come help or look at something. (being a mom is always like this but having a big old belly and lady parts pain is worse) So trying to just make it through each day especially when Colin has to work late. I wake up pretty much every morning looking down and going well still pregnant...onward to another day in pregnancy land. Plus it is so stinkin' hot right now and I really try and walk everyday to help with labor so the heat doesn't help there. I sometimes just feel like I am outside of my body! It is a weird feeling. I know I shouldn't complain but I am allowed some griping right? I think this last month is suppose to be hard because it helps us get all pumped up and ready to deliver our bundles and we will have that adrenaline going! I am so ready!!!

I went to the doctor last week and I was at 2cm and got a membrane sweep. I got kind of amped up cause I thought for sure the second sweep was going to work and she even said she would be surprised to see me the following week. Well sure enough I was back the following week which was yesterday. I was dilated more which is good 3-4cm and she did a third sweep. Yowza that one hurt too! However, I am still not getting my hopes up. I think baby Tate is pretty content in there. I am getting past alot of the labor at least since I am slowly dilating so when he comes he is going to come quickly! He is going to be a big boy though! I would imagine he is 9lbs or so right now.

As of today I have been contracting all day but somedays are like that and some I dont have much activity. So hoping the contractions are doing something!

The Prank on Hubby...

Well we planned for about an hour on how to do this prank on Colin while camping in Chelan. I am 36 weeks pregnant...

Kylee was video taping from inside our friends trailer. I should have reacted more but I would have started to laugh cause I am not good at lieing!

Baby Update: 36 &37 weeks! (eviction notice has been served!)

Well we went camping and baby stayed put and now we are back and it is time for his eviction notice! As I type this I am actually 37 +2 days. My posting are slowing down cause I get so tired that if I have any free time I just want to nap! I have been super sleepy! So while we were camping baby dropped majorly but he is so big that his feet and butt try and play around with my rib and sternum. The sternum kicking and pushing hurts that most! My mucous plug came out and I started having more regular braxton hicks. They run around 10 mins apart. Some are crampy and tight and some I dont notice til it is at its highest point. I timed a few and they seem to last about a minute and a half. They are still tolerable however I swear they are keeping me awake at night. When you are laying down on your side and you have them it almost feels like your neck is tightening and you need to "up chuck" something then it loosens back up. Hate that feeling, makes it hard to get comfortable.

We were pretty active camping so I think that helped me dilate to 2cm and help him drop which is what I found out yesterday at the doctors appointment. Since I have a history of rather large babies she went ahead and did a sweep of my membranes. I went on a 30 min walk after that and bounced on my ball. I have been taking EPO since 36 weeks orally but will start the third dose down below to help my cervix prepare for delivery. I dont think I will be making it to 40 weeks but heck I could be wrong too! If I do make it these next three weeks are not going to be so fun! I have felt kind of icky and run down, almost like I have the flu. I also feel that when things are harder than they suppose to be like errands, appointments, the kids, I kind of feel like crying!

I registered today for the hospital and I am having the carpets cleaned so I am all ready to go and just waiting! So will keep walking and take EPO and bouncing on my ball! Hoping baby comes this week or weekend!

Car bump..36.5 weeks.
Seriously looks like I have a ball under my shirt!
Yes I am camping and bouncing on my ball to help baby move down into the pelvis!
Can't go camping in 100 degree weather without your own personal misting hose! It was a life saver plus the kiddie pool we had to put at our site when we weren't at the water park or lake!
Yes I was sportin' a bikini cause I really wanted my tummy and back tanned to match the rest of my body!
Background is Lake Chelan. I love this pic cause I think we look so cute! :)
Random bump shot in the trailer...
These are our Chelan souveniers (sp?) The boys are team green and the girls are team pink. The kids got their names on their sleeve. I just love little Tate's hoodie :)
These are the backs of the hoodies and tshirts...
I will eventually put us all in these when the weather isn't so hot and before Tate grows out of his and take our picture. Can't believe we will soon be a family of five!

Baby Belly Movement: 35 week update!

I wanted to update cause we are heading out camping and I went to the doctor. Nothing really exciting at the doc happened but he is still head down and Kylee got to see him on ultrasound. Also I was able to capture a few nights of him moving like crazy so posting those videos. Doc is leaving on vacation too so she said when we both get back "Lets have this baby!" I said ok sounds good to me I am ready! Tate is hitting a nerve in my groin which almost makes me fall to the ground in pain and it radiates to my tailbone. Not sure what that is but it is happening more and more! I am having to be a "couch potato" every other day seems like so my body can recoup from running errands or cleaning up around the house. I will get to relax a lot camping so hoping that helps me survive these pains I am having especially in my pelvic area!

Baby Update: Week 33 and 34

Some of these photos are random but yes welcome to 34 weeks!! Getting so close! This baby must still have plenty of room because he moves all over the place! I have no idea if he is still even head down at this point! Sometimes I wish I could own my own ultrasound machine and just watch him whenever I can. My two other pregnancies never had this much activity going on. The main time it happens too is about 9pm til around midnight so it can be hard to get to sleep these days. He also has tons of hiccups that move my whole belly! See video below!

I do have Braxton hicks quite often but doesn't really ever hurt just notice my tummy becomes a very hard basketball. Walking and lifting my legs to get into the car have been killer tasks lately! I have PSD and my brace helps sometimes but that is only when I dont do alot of activity. What may seem like very little activity to me, I realize ends up being alot of activity for my body! I then have to pay the consequences the following day. So I try and remind myself to move slow and pay attention to my body and what it is telling me. My heart rate issue has seem to go away and what is weird is I think it was the morning pop tart I was eating with my coffee that made it stir up. If I stand too long in place I will start to feel a little faint and like my legs are about to give out but it will go away if I start moving again. So kind of weird must be the sugar or caffeine? Not sure cause I can have my cup of coffee and it doesn't happen.  Hunter has been so cute lately and he just loves to give everyone kisses, even baby Tate. Here he is snuggling with my belly. Tate was kicking him in his head but he didn't seem to notice or mind.
Painting my toes ,especially since it is sandle and flip flop season, is a chore, so Kylee helps me out!
I did go to the doctor at 33 weeks and Tate was head down but like I said not sure he is still that way at this point cause I can't figure out what body part is what with all his moving around. My bladder also gets a flick now and again and that is rather painful especially when my bladder is full! I guess at least I dont have to worry about counting kicks or anything with this booger!

Hunter wanted to check baby so he got the Doppler out and found the heart beat all by himself!

Random belly pictures that Kylee took:
Now that Kylee is out of school I have set her up with a summer chore list and explained to her that right now I need alot of help around the house. I can't even walk the dog anymore cause he pulls at me cause I don't walk fast enough. So she has started that and of course she earns money which will go in her bank account to help her save for a car in six years. (Crazy that she will be 16 in only six years!) So that has helped me alot and she knows that if I keep doing everything around the house that it hurts pretty bad by the end of the day. So she has had a good attitude about it!

Onward and upward to 35 weeks and a much needed family vacation trip to our favorite spot...Chelan! Can't wait! Pray no baby in Chelan please! I will be prepared with carseat and such just in case though!

Baby update: Week 29, 30, 31 & 32! (oops fell behind!)

Sorry I have been MIA lately as far as baby is concerned! We have been so busy and I have issues posting on the odd weeks. I like posting on the even since that is what I have been doing ha! Anyways baby is doing great. He is very active and hurts me alot with his movement. I am not sure which way he is facing so I will probably ask her at my next appointment (33weeks) if we can peek at him and see what is going on in there. I am pretty sure he is head down though as I feel most movement up by my ribs. It is very hard to lean forward when doing anything, he does not like that at all! My pelvic pain has decreased which I am thankful for! I think the brace has helped but also I think it might be cause he isn't kicking that area anymore if he has really turned head down.

We went on our second camping trip and I always walk the sites and it was very hard to walk around alot. When I did I would start contracting and lately I get out of breath really easily. I thought this was my blood pressure but after monitoring it for a few days it turned out it is my heart rate. I think it also goes up whenever I have had my one cup of coffee in the morning so might be switching to decaf for the rest of my pregnancy. So warned hubby since we will be camping when I am 36-37 weeks pregnant that he will have to do more than what he is use to while camping or this baby is going to be born in Chelan, WA. I am taking some items and my paperwork just in case that happens. Wouldn't bother me if it did. Would definetly be another memory to add to the chelan album though for sure!

I came across this blue sleeper when I was putting away Tate's clothes which were Hunter's previously. I thought how cute it will be to take a pic of Tate in this same pose as Hunter when he was home his first night to compare. Hunter was in bed watching a show one evening when I asked him to lay on daddy so I could take a pic of him and compare. So crazy how fast these kids grow!! Look how little Hunter use to be compared to Colin!
Picture of belly at 27 weeks. I don't think the side poses give me much credit on how big I actually am! So rotated myself a little but to me still doesn't show the whale like figure I have right now!
Isn't it crazy that this little sleeper was worn by Kylee, my 10 year old! It will now be worn by Tate! I have no idea where it came from just has been one of the items that was gender neutral that I could keep of hers all this time. It was also worn by Hunter...too bad I dont have a picture of them all in it.

Camping in Moses Lake. Comparing bellies...
31 week belly picture that I a managed to snap...

I have had to stop all working out cause of my heart rate issue and we have been so busy anyways. I think every weekend in June we have something going on including Hunter turning 3! I have for the most part Tate's room put together and will post pictures on that once I have it all done but it is looking really cute! We put together our sit n stand stroller and also the pack n play which contains a moses basket that he will use in our room for awhile. So I would say we are close to being ready but not totally ready so he needs to stay put for a bit longer! I have a feeling I will deliver right before Chelan or during so we will see. I just hope nothing happens on the 6 hour drive there and back!

27 & 28 Week Baby Update:

Baby is growing great and very active!! I am able to play with him when he pokes at my tummy and I poke back he moves more. Not sure how he is laying right now but he sure attacks my bladder alot which makes me feel like I have to pee everytime I stand up! Don't even get me started on what happens when I sneeze! ugh!

Life is going great. I have been doing alot with the house and we have also been enjoying the sunny days lately!
I don't have really any complaints just enjoying this time since it will probably be my last pregnancy (per colin). I spend most of my days out in the back yard and organizing things around the house since we are gone at least once a month now for camping.

Hunter using my bump as his pillow! I was hoping Tate would kick his head but he didn't he must have been resting too.
Here is the lovely belly at 27 weeks!

This contraption has become my new best friend! It looks big and bulky but it actually isn't even noticable under my clothes and boy does it help! The pelvic pain I was having was making it hard to just walk around the house and I think since I have used this that pain is subsiding daily so maybe it is actually healing it and keeping that area from being so inflamed and painful. Tate kicks me alot when I have it on ha! I think cause he likes to kick that area and I cut him off when I wear it! I can't wear it while sitting too much cause Tate is getting so big there isn't enough room when I have it on for him.
I have had to quite working out because I was getting so hot and it was kind of embarassing how red I was getting that is made people so worried that something was wrong with me. I usually will get out and walk the dog and take Hunter around the neighborhood once a day just to keep up with some cardio. I have also taken some water classes at the gym when I have time. I am so busy during the day with tasks around the house plus it taking me ten times longer that I usually get a good workout just doing stuff around here! I get pretty winded though and I notice if I dont take a break or rest the braxton hicks start to kick in and get pretty painful. It is such a weird feeling and so different than actual labor pains which I typically get all in my back not in my tummy. I did notice one day when I stood most of the day that I had some swelling because I had a sock line...eek! I know I didn't drink enough water that day so making sure I still keep up with that!

A pregnant girl's little black dress....

I have still been doing freezer meals and looks like I am at about 10 so far whoo hoo! I haven't posted each one cause it takes too much computer time but if you need some recipes let me know!

23 & 24 Week Baby Update

WOW so crazy that I am already at 24 weeks! This pregnancy is flying by! I have been feeling good but the last couple of weeks my energy level has been next to nothing and then I got a sinus infection over the weekend! I thought I would be able to kick it without meds but it just got worse! I am so thankful that my doctor is amazing and just sent a prescription to the pharmacy without even having to see me! I never understood why you have to go into the doctor already feeling yucky and then go to a pharmacy and wait forever for your prescription to be filled not to mention having a 2 year old tagging along for the ride! Anyways, as I type this I feel much better but it also explains my lateness of my post.

Baby has been going bonkers in my belly lately and I can now see the movement from the outside. Usually everyone in the family misses it then they stare at my belly for about five minutes and nothing happens. I actually got dehyrdated I believe from my cold over the weekend and I started contracting. It hurt really bad. I had to lie down on the couch and down a glass of water for it to loosen up. Hunter asked if my tummy hurt and I said yes then he decided to ask if I needed to go poo poo ha! At least he understood my tummy hurt. Then he gave me a kiss on my belly. It is funny how much he talks about baby in my tummy and calls him baby brother and will sing him Jesus Loves Me, kiss my belly and even say hi and rub it. He saw Tate's carseat in the garage and he asked if it was for baby brother so he has to be makin the connection a little bit. Wonder what he will think when there isn't a baby in my tummy any longer but in my arms as I hold him. Shall be interesting!

Other than the contractions and lack of energy I feel pretty good. Since I have been sick I haven't worked out in over a week but hoping to go to a "toning" class tomorrow at the gym and get back to my routines. I am feeling rather large in the belly area and I get winded just walking up and down the stairs doing laundry but gotta keep moving!

We moved Kylee out of her room and downstairs to her new room in preparation for Tate. So now her old room is completely empty and a friend is going to help me paint it, probably just back to the regular egg shell color.

I have been working on freezer meals as well so far I have one made, again cause I was sick. I am just doubling any recipes that I cook for dinner that I think will freeze well so I can do it in small quantities rather than a day of mass prepping. Plus we will know if we like the dinner because we will have tried it already. I am excited to not have to cook when this baby comes for awhile but yet still provide good meals for the family.

21 & 22 Week Baby Update!

Baby is growing! I think my belly has become gigantic these past couple of weeks! I feel baby alot more these days and even Colin got to feel him kick! I have been seriously nesting and just rearranging and organizing ALOT however it makes me really winded doing all these things. I have had a couple of times where I had to lie down and let my breathing calm down and my heart rate. Makes me wonder if my blood pressure is high during these times! It hasn't happened the last week so I think I am ok. I sure hope I am! Sweet stuff is still my favorite food of choice but for the most part I eat healthy or at least try to! ha!

I am still doing my cycling and river fitness plus a little bit of weight lifting so my arms don't get too flabby. During cycling I am now having to put my own fan directly on me now or I die. My face gets red really quick even with the fan it can be embarrassing but hey whatever, who cares! Most people are surprised I am even cycling in the first place! It is getting kind of hard though to lean forward and hold the handles cause my belly is in the way and getting squished so I tend to just sit up and pedal or get up and do a climbing position. It is kind of nice because due to my heartrate jumping up so quickly I actually burn alot more calories during an hour of cyling. Usually it is around 700-1000 which is wild! I guess it just makes up for all the sweets this baby likes to eat! The ligament pains are making it uncomfortable to walk the track so I think I am going to hunt down my belly band and see if that will help. I hope I can keep going with exercising but if anything I can start doing more water fitness stuff if I need to.

I am getting more and more excited as we move Kylee's room and start to empty the baby's room. I am more happy to think about us having a boy. I really think Hunter and Tate will be the best of friends so I can't wait for them to be able to play together. yay! Tate's schedule is starting to form. Usually around 10-11pm he starts moving all over the place and literally shaking my whole belly! I dont feel him too much during the day unless I sit down and rest.

PS I have moved to doing an update every couple of weeks.

20 week baby update! (Half way marker!)

Well I think these last couple of days this baby has grown double its size cause I all of a sudden pooched and I pooched ALOT! The dress I take a picture of to show the belly each week it definetly expanding! I hope it can last throuh the entire pregnancy! I didn't post a weight gain cause I haven't weighed and I dont want to focus on weight gain either. I know I work out almost every day of the week and take the weekends off and for the most part I watch what I eat except this baby LOVES sweets so probably a good thing that I am so diligent in working out or we might have some weight gain issues! I have been feeling more and more movement but Colin hasn't felt it yet. When I lay on my back it is so funny to see this hard bulge below my belly button like I could literally just see the full baby size.

I have been going to the chiropractor and that has helped alot with my tension and headaches but today and yesterday I have just felt off. Not sure what it is but I am really really tired to the point that I want to go to bed at 7pm and I just feel a little achy and just blah so not sure if I am getting sick or are my hormones doing something to make me just feel icky so just trying to rest when I can. I did sell my embroidery machine so that and all the supplies have been moved out of soon to be Kylee's room so I cleaned up Hunter's room and adjusted all this clothing to the correct size he is in now and going to start going through all his old clothes and organizing them into bins for Tate.

Like I mentioned Tate loves his sweets so I guess that is my craving and has been my craving. It isn't anything sweet in particular just SWEETNESS period! Like right now I have a huge bag of sour gummy worms, 8 cadberry eggs, Ben and Jerry's ice cream in the freezer and then I bought rainbow chip icing today that yes I just spoon right out and eat it! YOWZA! I KNOW! I know I haven't gained any crazy amount of weight so at least I work out to make up for all this! ha!

We keep telling Hunter about his baby brother and that his name is Tate so he can keep it in mind that the baby it still in mommy's tummy. Kylee is now ok with the fact about having another brother and it will really be fun for Hunter to have a "buddy."

We were cleaning Kylee's bathroom and Hunter wanted all these things on...

Spring Cleaning or Nesting?

So whenever the sun is shining I am not really ansy yet to go out in it cause it is still pretty cold most of the times so instead the past few sunny days I have been cleaning like crazy! I am not sure if the clutter is just getting to me or I am preparing for a third child to arrive in this family whatever it is I am thankful I have the energy to do it cause boy is it needed! I have to keep telling myself when I am doing it that I have plenty of time and I don't need to clean everything in one day, to just take it a room at a time or a closet at a time. So far I that is what I have done. I started in our bedroom and packed up 6 packs of clothes for our garage sale that we will eventually have when I am done decluttering and cleaning everything. That was a whole day in itself!! Wow does it look so much better and I needed space for Colin's work clothes so now those fit in there too! Then it was onto the bathroom drawers and the hall closet. I am trying not to be a hoarder so even if I have a towel that is all bleached up I will toss it. We had between Kylee and Hunter's bathroom, ours and then the closet there were two bags of trash...these spaces are not very big!! It is amazing to me how much clutter you can accumulate and somehow hide and stash away from viewing everyday. My main parts of my house look all clean but don't dare open a closet til my "nesting" is over or you might see a different side of me!

I am hoping to have a day or a week of just prepping meals and freezing them maybe some of my other pregnant friends want to come have a cooking day with me! I hope to have plenty of freezer meals to feed the family after the baby is born for awhile so we aren't running out to grab fast food or pizza and waste money. Things will become a little bit tight when this baby comes along but hopefully it will be a trooper at nursing and I won't have to pay for much but diapers!

Next is Hunter's room and going through his old clothes to see what I all have for the baby!

I sold my embroidery business so there is alot of stuff that the new owners will get and accumulate and then we can start on transferring Kylee's room and working on setting up the baby's room!

That is all for now!

19 weeks and Gender Reveal!!

We had our ultrasound today and baby was moving all over from side ways to up and down. We saw all fingers and all toes and even baby's pointer finger going up and down. I was really surprised at how active baby was because I don't feel a ton of movement which is odd at this many weeks for me but I found out that the placenta is anterior so it is blocking alot of the movement from being felt which makes sense and also having a stronger core makes baby not poke out as much as I normally would in my previous pregnancy. I didn't do a 19 week update because of the craziness of Hunter being so sick but as you can see my belly is expanding! It seems like the last couple of days it has become rather "full" feeling and I am definetly growing now! I am feeling pretty good just had a little bout of that flu and now I go to the chiropractor for my headaches and any back pain which is great! I am going to probably get a massage soon with them as well! I have come to really like this River Fitness class at our local gym so Colin and I do that on Mondays and Wednesdays and Tues and Thursdays I do cycling and so far that schedule is working out great. Cycling has become hard because it is hard to lean forward alot and hold onto the handle bars so I sit up alot during class which is fine and makes you work your legs rather than hurting your back so I am good doing it still for awhile. Colin hasn't been able to feel baby yet so maybe in the next few weeks he will be able to.

What is it going to be??? Dont cheat and look at the pictures...watch the video and see our true reactions! We didn't know til this video was made so that the whole family could know at the same time. It was hard to not open the "sealed" envelope from the ultrasound tech!!

Some pictures of the reveal event...

It is a boy!!!

I am still excited even though would have been fun to have a girl. Colin says no more after this one but we will see what sweet talking I can do with him to try for just ONE MORE! The name is going to be Tate Everett Shaughnessy! I don't know where the name Tate came from it is something that we both thought of and liked and haven't wanted to change it. Everett is the middle name of Colin's stepdad and since Hunter already had Colin's middle name we thought it would be cool to do the middle name this way. So now to figure out how I want to do the bedroom situation. I can either give Hunter a whole new room and move him into Kylee's room and new baby gets camo stuff or baby gets a new room...I am wondering if Hunter will be jealous though and want to be in the baby's room if we do decor in some sort of tractor, truck etc theme. Going to pinterest and ponder on it for a little bit.

Hunter revealing ;)

Here are some ultrasound pictures...
I am measuring as I have been a week ahead so they stated July 23rd which the 24th would be cool cause it would go with Hunter's bday (June 24th) and our anniversary (August 24th) or Kylee's bday(March 28th) so July 28th would be cool too. Keep all the dates the same so I can remember them all easier! It starts to get confusing the more kids you have!
