Feeling a little "off" today...

Well today was kind of the first day where I felt just EXHAUSTED! When I was pregnant previously with both kids I didn't get to just nap when I wanted so I am taking full advantage of it this time around! I did my normal running around and chores of the house and then decided that I really needed a nap today so I took one and I LOVED IT! I was crampier today too however I did work out after my nap and it felt good. I ran my normal Week 6 Day 2 which I have repeated two other days just cause it is a good run for me right now. The Day 3 seems a bit harder right now but we will see if I can progress further. I lifted my weights and did the ab workout and it was good. I talked with the gal that I like that does cycling and she mentioned how she taught cycling through almost her entire pregnancy so she encouraged me to keep going and just listen to my body so looks like cycling is on the agenda for tomorrow along with Thanksgiving morning!

On a side note we had some of the yummiest chicken fajitas tonight with this new sauce that I found that didn't contain any added msg, sugars etc it was so good that after working out we had another one! Also my favorite all time dessert is honey ice cream! So I posted a pic of my bowl for you along with the recipe! What amazes me is how much the texture is just like regular ice cream yet healthy as can be!

Ingredients
  • 1 3/4 cups cold heavy cream
  • 2/3 cup wildflower or orange blossom honey
  • 4 large egg yolks

                       Directions

  1. In a medium bowl, using an electric mixer, beat heavy cream to stiff peaks, then refrigerate. In a small pot, bring honey to a boil over medium-high and cook 2 minutes. In another medium bowl, using mixer, beat egg yolks until pale yellow. With mixer running, add hot honey in a slow, steady stream. Beat on high until mixture has cooled to room temperature, about 5 minutes. With a rubber spatula, fold in whipped cream. Transfer mixture to a 5-by-10-inch loaf pan. Cover with plastic wrap. Freeze until set, 2 hours (or up to 1 week).

4 Weeks and feeling fabulous!

Well I am four weeks which is funny cause usually no one knows at this time that they are pregnant but I got lucky I guess so probably just means it is going to be a LLLOOONNNGGG pregnancy! Sunday I attempted to run doing my normal 5 k training (Looks like I will be repeating days ALOT) Might take me all 9 months just to complete the 8 week training! I felt ok and was able to run like normal and I also lifted weights. There was one machine where you lay on your stomach and you work your glutes by lifting weights with your legs and I opted to not do this one. There are other ways to work your glutes and laying on my stomach while straining to lift weights just didn't sound like a good thing to me. I actually restricted that machine from my work out program so now it wont even come up as an option to complete and I went through and restricted any free weights, I kept the ball exercises, the band and any of the machines not saying it was needed but just made me feel better to do it.

Today (Monday) I went for a run and well I could tell my body needed another day to recoup from the previous run so I just let my body rule me that day and I just did a mixture of running and walking for about 15 minutes and then I did the elliptical at a lesser "stride rate" then normal for 30 minutes. I felt good after so glad I kept going. I think I need to create a shirt however that say "I am not getting fatter, just more pregnant." I think I will get on that right away!

So yay to 4 weeks and feeling good so far!! Here is a pic of me not alot to show just a little bit of a bloated belly!

Well we have some news! (3 Weeks)

AND the journey begins.... 3 Weeks! Kind of crazy and it only took two months of not really trying and well we are expecting baby #3! I am only four weeks and the reason I even thought of taking a test was that I came down with strep but also while having that I was nauseated and would throw up and feel fine til I woke back up each time. I threw up three times! I was fine after I had to get a pencillian shot at Urgent Care cause of the strep so thought hmm maybe it was just the "illness" but I had three tests at home so I decided I would just see and never did I expect it to actually say positive and it was a VERY positive indeed!

As I blog this now no one actually knows because we are doing a special reveal on Christmas to the new grandparents and Kylee wont know til we do family Christma pics on December 2nd so she will be having to keep it quiet til Christmas as well! (I will make all my posts "live" once the news is out so some of you might have to do some catch up reading if you wish)

We are excited for sure and one thing I was wondering was would I be able to keep exercising?? I just lost 25lbs and I dont eat anything processed or with added unnatural sugars which are good obviously for the baby but working out with weights? Kickboxing? Cylcing? What are my limits? So I have decided to meet with a personal trainer and find out how I can keep progressing on my strength training as my pregnancy progresses so this is kind of exciting and fun to learn!

So I will be blogging about all that and how that it going in hopes to help others that are pregnant. With this being my third I am excited to see how this pregnancy differs from the two others, especially since when I was pregnant with Hunter it was pretty rough. I am hoping that coming into this already working out and eating healthier that my body will be more able to tolerate pregnancy woes!  Since I am getting my personal trainer certification knowing some of this will be great as well!

I hope you join me on this journey! I will be blogging rather than using facebook because I can then turn my blog into a book!
